Logies! "Erinsborough News", BBCi, 1st May 2005
Gorgeous Natalie Blair (Carmella) and Ben Nicholas (Stingray) have both been nominated for prestigious Best New Talent Logie Awards. Neighbours itself has been nominated for Most Popular Drama Program.
The Logies are the Australian equivalent to the Emmy Awards.
Neighbours stars have a strong history at the Logies, with Delta Goodrem and Patrick Harvey winning Best New Talent in 2003. Brooke Satchwell (Anne Wilkinson) and Daniel MacPherson (Joel Samuels) have also won. Stephanie McIntosh missed out last year, despite being nominated in the Best New Talent category too.
Kylie Minogue won Most Popular actress twice in a row during the height of her fame as Charlene, and also won a coveted Gold Logie, Australian TV's highest honour. Delta Goodrem was included in the nominations for the same award in 2004, but narrowly missed out.
