Ben's Best Subject

"Erinsborough News", BBCi, 2004

Ben Nicholas, who plays Scott Timmins on the show is currently completing Year 11 at secondary school.

As he has become a master at juggling both Neighbours and school commitments, he was happy to reveal which of his subjects that he excels at.

"My best subject would obviously be Theatre Studies, which consists of Drama and what not," he said. "I did that last year and I'm not doing Year 12 Theatre Studies this year, I'm going to do it next year."

Ben's best subject for this year is still connected with his success as a television actor.

"This year my best subject would either be Media or American History. I get as in Media. So, I'm pretty happy about that. I can't complain," he laughed.

When asked whether he is good at Media because he enjoys it so much or whether he just has a knack for it, Ben answered,

"It's probably because I enjoy it. With Media, I have more of a creative mind. I'm not that good with numbers. I'm good with faces and bad with names. I'm good at Media, because I like it and I don't mind putting time into it."

Ben's favourite subject of all time may come as a surprise to some fans.

"A class that I really enjoyed was Home Economics, cooking. It was compulsory one year. Acting is of course my favourite and then it would have to be Home Ec," he said.

Hopefully Scott will become a model student just like the actor who plays him.
